The new Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Canada has finally been announced, it was a close shave between our Bill Vlaad and Stephen Poloz, and the ultimate deciding factor was a game of rock paper scissors. Scissors always wins, right Stephen?

CIBC has brought on the following:
• Rob Magwood as an Executive Director, Equity Capital Markets, from UBS Securities.
• Bato Kacarevic as a Director, Investment Grade Credit Analysis, Capital Markets Trading from Scotiabank.

In the U.K., Anthony Tobin has joined RBC Capital Markets. Anthony was previously an Executive Director with UBS Securities as Executive Director of financial institutions group (FIG) syndicate.

In Calgary, Jason Zhang has joined Black Diamond as a Senior Analyst, Finance. Jason was most recently with BMO Capital Markets as a Research Associate.

TD Securities has added Jamie Rodrigues as an Associate in the Corporate Derivatives Origination group, Jamie is a recent MBA grad from Rotman.
