AGF Management has hired Bob Bogart as their new CFO in Toronto. Bob is a veteran CFO of Fidelity Investments in Boston.

GMP is building a hedge fund arm, GMP Investment Management, and has announced the following executive hires:
• TD Securities veteran Jason Marks has joined as CEO.
• CIBC World Markets veteran Kevin Barnes has joined as President & Managing Partner.

Jonathan Wellum, the former CEO of AIC, has founded Rocklinc Investment Partners.

Oil and Gas Research Analyst Gordon Currie has joined Salman Partners in Calgary from Blackmont Capital.

Also from Blackmont Capital, Michael McGuin is joining Haywood Securities' Institutional Equity Sales team.

In addition, Institutional Equity Sales Associate Steven Savard has joined RBC Capital Markets from Blackmont Capital.

Desjardins Securities has launched coverage of the telecom sector and has appointed Maher Yaghias their new Telecom Research Analyst in Montréal.

Michael O'Neill has joined Knightsbridge Foreign Exchange as a Managing Director. Michael was most recently President of IFXA.

BMO Capital Markets has hired Nicholas Van Dyk as an Investment Banking Associate, M&A from TD Securities where he an Investment Banking Associate, Mining.

Macquarie Capital Markets has hired Sandy Poklar as an Investment Banking Senior Associate, Real Estate & Diversified. Sandy was previously with TD Securities as an Investment Banking Associate.

The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan has hired Paul Kapsos as a Portfolio Manager, Emerging Market Equities. Paul was most recently with CPPIB as a Portfolio Manager, Public Market Investments.

Abid Mukhtar has joined the Investment Banking team of Union Securities. Abid was most recently at MAK Allen & Day Capital Partners.

RBC Securities has appointed Blair Fleming as the new Head of U.S. Investment Banking. Blair was previously the Head of U.S. Leveraged Finance.

RBC Global Asset Management has announced the launch of a new Infrastructure Investment Group based in Boston and has made the following hires:
• Joe Lyons joined as Managing Director. Joe was previously with Sectoral Asset Management as a Director.
• Nancy Mangraviti has been hired as a Managing Director from Banc of America where she was Assistant General Counsel.
• Managing Director Matthew McPhee has joined from State Street Global Advisors.
• Whit Porter joins as a Managing Director. Whit was previously a Senior Manager with Macquarie Capital Funds.

RBC Dominion Securities has recently hired Rob Becker as an Investment Advisor. Rob was previously with HBOS Canada as an Associate Director.

National Bank Financial has promoted Mathieu Talbot to Associate, Loan Structuring Syndication from an Investment Banking Analyst in Montréal. Justin Machin has been hired by the firm in Toronto as an Investment Banking Analyst, Global Metals & Mining. Justin was previously with Canaccord Adams as a Corporate Finance Analyst.

Rothschild's has hired Mezier Briefkani in Montréal as an Investment Banking Analyst from Stanton Asset Management where he was an Investment Analyst.

CIBC World Markets has promoted Kevin Chiew as a Research Associate, Precious Metals from Research Assistant.
