Time to spring clean! Vlaad and Company is collecting clothing donations for Dress for Success until June 12th 2012. Dress for Success is a charitable organization which aims to provide appropriate work attire for disadvantaged men and women. We are asking you to bring in and donate new or gently used articles of business attire, to 55 York Street, Suite 402.

Grant Rasmussen has formed GreatWave Capital, a private equity firm. Grant was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of UBS AG’s Canadian Wealth Management unit.

Mark Mulroney has joined National Bank Financial as Co-Head of Trading. Mark makes the move from RBC Capital Markets where he was Managing Director, Equity Trading.

Jefferies Group has brought on Steven Latimer as Head of their new Canadian Investment Banking division. Steven joins from Credit Suisse where he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Metals & Mining, Investment Banking.

Beacon Securities has added the following:
• From Fraser Mackenzie, Patrick McCarthy as Managing Director, Sales and Trading.
• Rick Sturch as a Junior Institutional Equity Trader, from Desjardins Securities.
• Monica Kras as an Institutional Sales Assistant, from ScotiaMcLeod.

Brad Heck has joined BMO Capital Markets as a Director, Corporate Lending, Oil and Gas, in Calgary. Brad was previously with Alberta Treasury Branches in a similar role.

Allana Potash has brought on Richard Kelertas as Head of Corporate Development. Richard was most recently with Dundee Capital Markets as a Senior Equity Research Analyst, Forestry, Fertilizers and Agriculture.

Thornmark Asset Management has added Lauree Wheatley as a Portfolio Manager. Previously, Lauree was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager with Trimark.

Aleem Ladak has joined PI Financial as a Research Analyst, Base Metals, in Toronto. Prior to joining, Aleem was with Desjardins Securities as a Research Associate.

Frank Zargar has joined Union Securities as a Research Analyst, Mining. Frank was most recently with BMO Capital Markets as Vice President, Investment Banking.

Kent Crosland has joined Sky Investment Counsel as a Research Analyst covering Technology and Telecom. Kent was previously with UBS Global Asset Management as a Director.

Kingsley Wong has joined Superior Gas Liquids in Calgary as a Senior Risk Analyst. He makes the move from BP Canada where he was a Risk Analyst.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance has added Corey Shelton as a Senior Associate in Vancouver. Corey moves from Viterra in Calgary, where he was an Associate, Corporate Development.

Also in Vancouver, Laurenn Russell has joined Dundee Securities as a Research Associate, Mining. Prior to joining, Laurenn was Manager, Investor Relations for Silvercorp Metals.

Othman Taleb has joined Fengate Capital as an Analyst, Private Equity, in Toronto. Othman joins from Macquarie Capital Markets where he was an Analyst, Investment Banking in the U.K.

In Montreal, Guillaume Racine has joined Desjardins Securities as an Analyst, Investment Banking. Previously Guillaume was Analyst, Client & Business Development at Presima.

Stonecap Securities has brought on Tom Wach from Sequira Partners as an Analyst, Investment Banking.
