Living proof that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, Lisa enthusiastically rejoined the Vlaad and Company team in 2016 after a few years at a global Top-Five executive search firm. With broad and deep recruitment expertise across a wide swath of financial services functions and seniority levels, Lisa covers multiple areas, with a particular focus on buy-side recruitment. Lisa draws on the perspectives and insights gained from her prior 15-year career in client-facing capital markets roles, in North America and abroad. Previously a member of UBS’s Global Basic Materials Research team in London, U.K., Lisa was a Thomson Extel number-one ranked research marketer in two sectors simultaneously. Before relocating to London, Lisa covered the Canadian Forestry sector as an Institutional Equity Research Analyst with Morgan Stanley’s top-ranked global team, having started her research career with the firm formerly known as CIBC Wood Gundy. It was here that she had her fateful first meeting with then-colleague and not-yet-reformed investment banker, Bill Vlaad.
Outside of work, Lisa can be found learning to play the guitar, and trying out new recipes with reckless abandon. She is often spotted with her family in Thornbury, Ontario, where she is currently training for the 2017 Beaver Crawl "non-traditional" triathalon.
Lisa is a registered Professional Engineer. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science (Civil) degree and an MBA, both from the University of Western Ontario.
