Let’s spend a few minutes on what to say and what not to say in interviews. This is an endless list. The term ‘lifestyle’, as an example is a red flag. When people want to get into a ‘lifestyle’ change in their career, which usually means they don’t like working as hard as they’ve been working or they want to golf more. If you’re there to actually get to work, the first thing you say shouldn’t be about not working. So, please, eliminate that ‘lifestyle’ from your presentation.
We all do say things in interviews that we think are unique, but actually the company you’re interviewing with has heard a thousand times, so avoid them.
