Voicemail is something many people forget. What does your voicemail sound like? Does it begin with some sort of funny, quirky Simpson’s or Seinfeld ring? Hopefully, your voicemail is not full, because you don’t want to miss the opportunity if it does knock.
Make sure your voicemail is very crisp and clean. If you have a home voicemail with a message along the lines of, “You’ve just called the Jones’, this is Mary and Louis, Jimmy and Sarah, please leave a message after the ping,” it’s all fine, but when building your professional brand, you must determine if this lines up with the image you want out there. The answer may very well be yes, but just make sure it’s consistent.
