What skills should I highlight on my resume?

What is your “professional brand”? Brand goes way beyond just your look. This is about how you are represented out in the employment world – electronically and personally.

Managing a brand is obviously a very important aspect to career development. It is also very important your brand is consistent, although it represents one point in time, its an iterative and continuous process that needs continuous monitoring.

As an example, how many of you have searched your name in Google? You should do that. It’s not egotism. It is about making sure that what the internet is saying about you is the most up-to-date, the most powerful and the best representation of your brand. If it is not, you need to change it. However, once things get into the internet, they never come off. But, you can manage where that information is seen through the publication of powerful thought leadership and current information about yourself, thereby pushing dated information to pages further back.
