Understanding the Type of Career You're Pursuing

It’s important to understand what type of career you’re pursuing before you get out to set-up interviews.

Who are you?

What is it that you want to do?

What are you good at?

Not all three of those things are the same. Often, we’ve spent so much time in our careers, making people believe that we are something and making ourselves believe that we are something; Whatever that something might be. It is the opinion of many psychiatrists and therapist, that the only person we have to blame for unrewarding careers are ourselves because we are achieving exactly the types of roles at which we are telling ourselves we should be aiming. We want to work on defining your career focus; making sure you really understand who you really are so that you know what you really want to do because you’ve identified what you’re really good at.
