The Canada Infrastructure Bank uses federal support to attract private sector and institutional investment to new revenue-generating infrastructure projects that are in the public interest. By engaging the expertise and capital of the private sector, we will help provide more infrastructure across Canada.

Job Description:

The Senior Manager/Director will be an active member of the CIB team and have involvement in all aspects of screening, due diligence, and execution of investment opportunities. Daily responsibilities will vary with time and will include screening potential investment opportunities, performing complex financial modeling, completing sector analysis and transaction due diligence, drafting of investment memoranda, and participating in investment decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will have executed several infrastructure deals, preferably within Canada. Extensive experience in equity or debt, P3 or project finance is necessary at the Senior Manager/Director level.

Accountabilities:
  • Assisting in the CIB setup of its investment capability
  • Assisting in developing a pipeline of potential investment opportunities by establishing and maintaining a network of contacts in the public sector across Canada and the infrastructure industry
  • Lead due diligence on investment opportunities
  • Assist with the execution of financial models, project finance/ infrastructure models, valuation analyses, merger models, corporate finance solutions and any additional needed financial analyses
  • Quarterback the preparation and presentation of proposals and pitchbooks
  • Sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities

Skills / Experience:
  • 7+ years of infrastructure investing experience
  • Previous exposure to greenfield infrastructure projects
  • Demonstration of experience in working at all stages of a deal cycle as it relates to the infrastructure sector
  • Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Accounting are an asset
  • CFA, CPA, MBA are an asset
  • Bilingual (French) written and verbal is considered a strong asset
  • Experience with Government agencies are an asset
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills
  • Team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work flow and deadlines
  • Strong relationship building skills
