Analyst, Corporate Banking, DIG

Description Our client is currently seeking an Analyst to join their Corporate Banking team located in Toronto. 

Responsibilities:

  • Credit analysis, documentation, and industry oriented research all supporting new and existing client business

  • Preparation of pitch books

  • Assisting with loan and related documentation review

  • Assisting with the preparation of annual reviews and amendments

  • Establishment and maintenance of various databases designed to assist with both credit analysis/approval and new client/business development activities

  • Responsibility for preparing assorted internal management reports

  • Occasional contact with other members of the capital markets platform, including Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Sales & Trading, and Transaction Banking

  • Ad hoc responsibilities to be determined on an ongoing basis

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of credit analysis

  • Exceptional financial and accounting skills

  • Strong record of academic achievement

  • Excellent financial modeling skills

  • Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint and Word

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self starter with an ability to work and learn independently

  • Efficient organizational skills with ability to multi-task under pressure

  • Ability to work within a small team

  • Financial designations (CA, CPA, CFA, etc.) considered an asset

  • Experience with Bloomberg, Thomson One, and Reuters considered a plus
